Cyber security advice in 13 different languages

CERT NZ has launched new resources that provide cyber security advice in eight different languages and five alternate formats.

28 July 2022

Cyber security threats affect all New Zealanders. To protect more New Zealanders from attacks, CERT NZ is making its advice available to a broader range of communities and ethnicities.

The new resources feature simple, key cyber security steps that go a long way to protect New Zealanders from attacks. The steps include using long and unique passwords, using a password manager, turning on two-factor authentication, updating devices and checking privacy settings.

CERT NZ encourages New Zealanders to share these resources with friends and family to assist communities with cyber security actions they can take to protect themselves. The 13 formats available are:

  • Samoan
  • Korean
  • Northern Chinese
  • Simplified Chinese
  • Hindi
  • Punjabi
  • Māori
  • Tongan
  • Easy read
  • Braille
  • Large Print
  • Audio
  • New Zealand Sign Language
