What is two-factor authentication?
A good way to prevent other people from getting into your accounts is to use two-factor authentication. But what is two-factor authentication and where can you use it?

Two-factor authentication sounds pretty complex, but it’s really very easy.
Two-factor authentication, or 2FA, is like a double padlock — it makes it harder for attackers to access your accounts.
2FA means entering your password plus another piece of information, like an access code that has been sent to your phone.
So even if attackers know your password, they can’t get access to your account.
Many services offer 2FA for free — you just turn it on in your privacy settings.
