KRACK attack: Security weaknesses affecting Wi-Fi enabled devices
Weaknesses have been discovered in a protocol that Wi-Fi uses. They are being referred to as KRACK (Key Reinstallation Attack).
This vulnerability can allow attackers to read data that passes between a device and the Wi-Fi router, and in some cases attackers can alter the traffic to change what is displayed to the user.
In general, Wi-Fi attacks such as KRACK are only possible when the attacker is physically within range of the Wi-Fi signal.
