Bad Rabbit Ransomware affecting Eastern European networks

A new ransomware campaign, called ‘Bad Rabbit’, is spreading and appears to be primarily targeting agencies in Russia and Ukraine. There have been reports of it affecting networks in Turkey and Germany.

According to Kaspersky Lab, the compromise is taking place through drive-by attacks, where compromised Russian media websites are displaying fake Adobe Flash installers. These infect the user with ransomware when executed.
